Hi below are just frequent questions that I get asked , if you have any questions that you would like to ask me that are not covered then I am more than happy for you to contact me where we can discuss more.
What is Hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a focussed, absorbed state of attention, we experience it about 90% of the day, when we get absorbed reading a book or film, driving to work as we think ahead, or getting bored listening to someone in a meeting, your mind in a day dream, are all examples of hypnotic states .Hypnosis helps you to deal with problems allowing lasting change to then take place
Will I lose Control?
No you will be in control all at all time of the session, you can open your eyes, you can hear the hypnotherapists voice, will be in complete control and won’t do anything you don’t want to do. Its not stage hypnosis as seen on television.
How many sessions will I need?
As little as possible !
I don’t believe in booking block sessions as the days of regular weekly hypnotherapy sessions are gone. I use advanced rapid therapy aiming to help you reach your goal making lasting change in the shortest possible time.
Some simple issues such as fears, phobias, anxieties may take only 1 or 2 sessions where as deep rooted issues may take 3 or 4. As we go Sean will monitor your progress and you will be in control of the number and frequency of sessions that you have. How you respond is up to you.
Can anyone be Hypnotised?
Yes everyone can be hypnotised on the provision that they want to be
Some people are certain that they can’t be hypnotised and have a deep seated need for control and think if they allow themselves to be hypnotised they will be giving up control so they will never let go enough to be in a hypnotic state as you need to be relaxed. That is why it is so important that you feel comfy with the therapist who is working with you
What does hypnotherapy feel like?
Everyone body experiences hypnosis in their own unique way, no one will experience it exactly the same, many people say it’s a lovely relaxed sensation whilst day dreaming.
